A tyrannosaur covered in feathers
Standing next to it is the moment the idea lands. This is a predator, and it is unmistakably covered in feathers.
Millions of years ago dinosaurs roamed here. They never really left. They evolved into the birds outside your window. Students follow that evidence themselves through the Track-A-Saurus treasure hunt.

Dinosaurs Among Us is organised by the American Museum of Natural History, New York, with support from Museo de Ciencias, Universidad de Navarra in Spain, the North Museum of Nature and Science in the United States, the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum in Canada, and Universum Museo de las Ciencias de la UNAM in Mexico. Get Set Learn brought it to India. The exhibit is hosted with the Museum of Solutions, and now runs at the Nehru Science Centre in Worli.

Standing next to it is the moment the idea lands. This is a predator, and it is unmistakably covered in feathers.

Casts and fossil evidence showing how widespread feathers were across the dinosaur family, and what feathers were for before flight.

Legs, feet and claws side by side, plus what brain size tells us about the theropods closest to modern birds.
The exhibition is built as an evidence trail rather than a display. Students are asked to look, compare and decide, the same way the science did.
Comparing a fossil imprint with a living bird, and saying what the two have in common.
Every panel opens another one. Why feathers before flight? Why do brains matter?
Birds are living dinosaurs. Students arrive at that themselves rather than being told.

The exhibition currently runs at the Nehru Science Centre in Worli, Mumbai. Dino goodies are on sale at the centre.
